I am a counsellor primarily of young people and children with over six years experience of working in schools, with private clients and Connexions - a youth counselling service.
I see young people who are struggling with areas of their life, have simply lost direction or are feeling angry or isolated. I also work with parents who are finding it difficult to maintain good relationships with their children.

For those of you who want to know the 'science', I use a Person Centred approach integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as appropriate. I can also use a variety of interactive methods including drawing, painting, model making and sand play to help draw out inner thoughts. I hold an ABC Level 4 Diploma in Theory and Practice of Counselling and a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I have a diploma in supervision, and work with counsellors in training and fully qualified counsellors.
I am member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) http://www.bacp.co.uk/ who are the national body in the UK for regulating counselling practice. I am bound to their code of conduct and ethics which means you can be sure your therapy will be carried out to the highest professional standards.
I am also a member of the BACP Counselling for Children and Young People (CCYP), The Association for Pastoral & Spiritual Care & Counselling (APSCC). I hold certificates from Lifetrain UK on Young People and Self Harm, Kidscape on Anti-Bullying and Cruse Bereavement Care on Attachment and Loss.
